POSITION:  Instructor/Assistant Professor of Mathematics (2 positions)

QUALIFICATIONS:  Minimum of  a master's degree in mathematics, Ph.D. in mathematics preferred.  Training must include a minimum of 18 graduate hours in mathematics.  Prior teaching experience desired.

SALARY:  $34,000-$38000.  Salary and rank dependent on qualifications.

BEGINNING DATE:  8/08 or as otherwise agreed upon.

POSITION:  Instructional Technology Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master's degree in Educational Technology with expertise in the development, delivery, and evaluation of online courses, training experience required; experience using educational and/or instructional media, computer applications, technology systems, and hardware required; experience in the design and development of educational multimedia materials required; and experience in the design, implementation, and/or evaluation of technology training program required.

SALARY:  $36,000-$40,000 depending upon qualifications and experience.  This is an unclassified 12 month position.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a technology related field and at least 5 years relevant experience.  Demonstrated experience with managing large scale technical infrastructures and staff.  Extensive demonstrated knowledge and experience in the areas noted above.

Part-time Teaching Opportunities at LSU-E

LSUE seeks applications for qualified individuals to fill part-time and full-time temporary mathematics and mathematics tutoring positions for the Fall 2008 semester.  Openings available for day classes in Developmental Math and College Algebra.

Qualifications for Teaching Developmental Classes and Tutoring:  Bachelors Degree in Mathematics or Math Education required.  Successful high school teaching experience and certification in mathematics are required.  Successful experience and/or strong motivation to teach and equip under-prepared students for success in post-secondary studies.  Master's degree in education or related subject preferred.

Qualifications for teaching regular college classes:  Master's degree or higher required.  At least 18 graduate hours in mathematics required.
